Time on the Farm

Today the girls and I went to see the "amals" as Chloe calls them, at Thanksgiving Pointe. It was $2 Tuesdays, and since both the girls are under 2 years old, I only had to pay for me! (Picture taken from Thanksgiving Pointe Website) We were going to go to the Dinosaur Museum also, but the line completly wrapped around the museum when I got there at 10 am! We met my best friend from high school, Amy Jo, and her kids, Ashlyn and Gage.

Chloe and Ashlyn got along right away and I was so happy! Chloe is usually so shy and worried about others that I was so glad she was happy and outgoing with Ashlyn. The girls checking out the cows. There was a brand new baby cow that had just been born like an hour before we got there!!!Happy Birthday, Baby Cow!! It was so cute watching him stand up and fall back down and try to stand up again. It finally worked! For the most part, the baby and mama cows just laid by each other and cuddled. It was adorable.

Chloe loved this cow and was standing so close to it the whole time. I told her to turn around and look at me but then she was scared when it was behind her. Oh well.

Chloe and Ashlyn loved playing in this little building! It had a sign on it that said Dance Hall, so I told them and Ashlyn started dancing. It was adorable. Chloe just loved that there was a little ledge inside and she could jump off it. She didn't want to leave, even after Ashlyn did, and we started walking away! She was so so sad to leave it and didn't get over it until we saw some pigs :)

Chloe was excited about feeding the chickens some corn, until they started pecking at her! I tried to help her, but I was probably more scared than she was! Something about those little chicken faces....Just kinda creeps me out.

Preslie hung out in the car seat most of the time we were there. It's difficult to push a double stroller, watch one very active toddler, get out of the way of all the other people and feed the baby all at the same time! Luckily, the stroller was willing to help.

When we paid to get in, we got a ticket so we could ride the hay ride or ride a pony. I thought for SURE Chloe would freak out and want to get off the whole time. She LOVED it. She held on and was scared for a minute, but then got a big smile on her face... followed by another small freak out. We got to go around the circle like 4 times and at the end she did NOT want to get off! Don't know if you can tell but in this picture Chloe is trying to pet/get back on the horse, while screaming and crying. She didn't want to leave!

The whole time driving home Chloe cried and kept saying, "Amals! Amals!" We'll definitely have to take her back sometime soon! We had a great time playing with Amy Jo and her kids! It was so great to see her again.

When we got home, both girls were sleeping in the car. I took Chloe out and put her on the sidewalk to wait for me to get Preslie. I turned around, and this is what I saw - She had so much fun she just tired herself out! We have some pretty cute girls!!!

I love it!!!! I wish I could have been there to see Chloe ride the pony! I love that she can just fall asleep anywhere. She would make a good hobo.

How wonderful these pictures are and the story to go with them! Adorable! I too love the exact same pictures that Amy does! The one of Chloe poking her head out of the window - so cute and then I just cracked up when I saw her asleep on half on and half off of the sidewalk! She is so adorable! I can't wait to see them!

That curbside photo is so sad. That hurts my heart a little bit. Poor baby. They are just so cute. How can you deny them anything ever?

I just found your blog today and I wanted to tell you that I really like your blog background!

And I love the picture of your daughter asleep on the sidewalk. When we were children, my sister used to fall asleep everywhere. My Mother has a photo album full of pictures of her asleep on the dance floor at a wedding, falling asleep in the middle of coloring, asleep at the kitchen table while in the middle of eating a cookie, the list goes on and on!

What a fun day! I wish we had a place like that around here. I just wish we could go outside and melt! The girls look so cute, as usual! I love that Chloe feel asleep on the sidewalk! Madi wants me to tell you that she wants to ride on that pony with Chloe! :) My girls will miss not having Chloe to play with at Grandmas house next weekend.
