So...

It's been a long time. I know. A lot has happened since then. Let me give you the run down.

My hair used to be blonde like this...
I hated it, you hated it, we all hated it. I needed a change. (Can you tell in the picture I'm like soooo not happy with how I look??)

I dyed it. Well, I had someone dye it for me. This lady I know did it at her house. I was there from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. trying to get it perfect. In the middle of the dying (our first try)...it came out like this.
Can you tell I'm still not very happy?? She weaved the color in, leaving big spots of blonde out for highlights...It was just too much blonde still. I wanted to be brown again. I like having brown hair. The next time I get sick of brown hair and say I don't want to look like a librarian anymore, someone PLEASE tell me that Meredith has brown hair...And she doesn't look like a librarian. She is just wonderful.

I told myself (before I saw my hair) that it didn't matter what it looked like because I had a LOT of homework to do and I thought the whole process would only take a couple of hours (letting me be done around 7 or 7:30, when it was already almost 9 and I was just freaking out about my homework), but once I saw it, I knew I had to stay and we had to do it again. But this time I was really hoping it would be the perfect one..because when she was done the second time it was 10:00 and we were out of color.

Luckily, it was good!! I was happy and it looked like this.
(ps can you see the color has gotten on my face? it's on my nose and it was on my forehead and cheeks when we were done..) (pss can you tell I'm a little bit happier?)

We took a more normal picture too, just so you can actually tell there is still a little blonde in it. But only a little.

After my hair was back to normal, we traveled to Utah over the weekend because Amy graduated from the University of Utah!!! Hooray! We're so excited she's (basically) done with her master's program and doesn't have to do school anymore. I wish Cody and I were that lucky! Her graduation was on Thursday and Friday, so we didn't actually get to be there for that, but she had an open house on Saturday that was really fun! We had a good time and got to see a lot of family and friends.

We (My mom, Amy, Seth, Katie, Cody and I) also went to the cemetery in Springville to see Catheryn and Steve's headstone. It just was put on (and we think Cody's cousin, Dustin did it! He works for Walker...whatever it's called...and he thinks he remembers seeing it.) and none of us had seen it.
It looks like this: This is the front-
and this is the back

We all think it looks awesome. We were really surprised at how clear the picture came out, but it looks great. We had a great time there...I know, kinda weird that people have fun in the cemetery...But we couldn't stop laughing the whole time. We were talking about the headstone and my mom was like-It's guaranteed for life! Katie was like.....Whose life??? OH my gosh we could not stop laughing. It was hilarious.

On Sunday we went to Spanish Fork with Alyssa and Ryan to visit Cody's grandparents. It was so fun! On our way up we had to stop to let some chickens cross the road... After we took pictures and were driving away I was like-Dang it! We should've asked them why they crossed the road!! I thought it was hilarious. Everyone else pity laughed for me :) After we ate and played some games, Alyssa and I went to see my friend, Polly, and Cody and Ryan went to Ryans. Polly just left on Wednesday to serve her mission in Chicago!!! YEAH! We're so excited for her and for Chicago. After we were done visiting with her we went to Ryan's parents place and ate really good hamburgers that he and Dustin had made for us! Oh, that sounds so good right now. When we were done eating we took off, back to Idaho and the snow in mid-May.

Hooray for updates!

Yes, we know that Ryn was there lauging with us!! We do miss her tho - and Steve too! And just so you know, the headstone was not done at Walker's but at Dalton's...so you can tell Dustin that it was made by Dalton's and not Walker's. We talked with both places and we thought about having Walkers do it for us - but we were happier with what Daltons did for us - so we went with them - and I'm very happy with the stone! It was great to see you and to be with you and Cody for a short time! And your hair is awesome! I love it! And we love the baby bump too!!! :)

Hey! Yeah we're moving on Saturday. We just found out on Friday when. We'd been thinking about it for awhile but everything kind of just happened all at once! I'm excited but bummed at the same time.
