Easter Weekend

*Warning - Picture Overload!*

I luhve Easter. Last year I was so sad we didn't have church on Easter because it was General Conference weekend. Which I also love. I just love going to church on Easter Sunday and celebrating the Resurrection of the Savior.

This year was no different. I was so looking forward to a weekend of fun with Cody's family (Brittany, Seth, and their girls were coming up from AZ and Austin, Sara and Rowen were coming down from Orange County), and going to church on Easter Sunday.

Unfortunately, on Wednesday Preslie was sick. She was throwing up all day. I was hoping it was just a 24 hour thing, but it wasn't. Thursday was the same, and she kept throwing up all night Thursday night, which woke up Chloe. Needless to say, I was up half the night.

Thursday night was when everyone was meeting at Dirk and Tami's, but we were just planning on going after Cody got off work on Friday. But because Preslie was still sick I didn't know if we'd even be able to go then. Luckily she seemed totally fine on Friday. She didn't throw up at all (except for the last time that was officially on Friday at 1 am) and we decided to head down on Friday evening.

Saturday we had a Easter Egg hunt and the girls loved it!
Headed down for the hunt!

Pres saying Cheese!

The egg hunt was to the left of this - on the playground equipment that Dirk and Tami have. Preslie decided she didn't want to hunt anymore and just kept walking down the driveway!

See Ya Later!

She was so excited to find them!

Papa helping Preslie find eggs

It was just so bright!

Madi and Mya had so much fun finding eggs, too! Mya was loving the candy inside :)

Peek-A-Boo!

There was lots of playing after we found the eggs!

Chloe was shaking her head so her pigtails would hit her face. I remember doing that when I was little :)

Unfortunately, later that day Chloe also got sick and was throwing up, so we went home that night. The next morning we had Easter at our house and everyone was finally better! No more throwing up for a long, long time I hope!
Before we went in to get our Easter Baskets, we were talking about the true meaning of Easter. We talked about Christ and the Resurrection and then we talked about how we get Easter baskets and give each other gifts to celebrate the Resurrection. The girls baskets were in their room and the door was shut. Before we went in to find their baskets, Chloe said, "Is Jesus in there?"
What a sweet girl.
Yeah! The Easter Bunny Came!

Checking out their loot!

Tami got the girls these toys that shoot our a little ping pong ball (Preslie is holding the ball above). Chloe didn't get it at first because I had put an Easter egg in her toy instead of the ball. She kept putting the egg in it to shoot out instead of the ball! (I made the sheep in the back for both girls. I got the idea from here and embroidered their names on them so there wouldn't be any fighting.)

Playing Hungry Hungry Hippos! Chloe LOVES this game and Pres LOVES to eat the balls! Win/Win! :)

Happy Easter!!!
