New Chloe Stats

Yesterday we went to the Dr. for Chloe's 4 month check-up. When we got there they had us take her outfit off to weigh her and she was SO happy to be naked!! She was squealing and playing and having a blast. The Dr. came in and looked at her and then they came back with her shots. She was still having so much fun and then the nurses gave her 2 shots (at the same time..but still!) and she just looked at them. For at least 5 seconds she didn't make any noise, but just looked at them like, I thought we were all having fun! Why would you do that to me?!?! It was so sad. Then she started SCREAMING and crying and it was awful. This time I was stronger and I watched it and stood by her so I could be there to comfort her when they were done and I didn't cry at all! It almost happened..But I held it back.

She now weighs 12 lbs 11 oz (30 %) and is 24.5 inches (62 %) long. Her head is 15.5 inches (11 %) around. So apparently she's longer than most but lighter and has a little bitty head! But we love her no matter what!

Last night we bought some rice cereal to give her-- she spits up a LOT after eating and the Dr. said this might help. On Monday I told Cody she will be able to start eating food food now, and he got so excited!! He was talking all about all the different foods she can try now and all the funny faces I'm sure she'll be making. He was like-I can feed you with a spoon! I want to feed you with a spoon! It was so cute. He loves his little girl!!!

When we were buying the rice cereal we were looking at all the baby foods-- did you know they have Macaroni and Cheese?!?! And Thanksgiving Dinner?!?!?! Seriously disgusting. I told Cody we're never feeding her that because that's just cruel. Pureed thanksgiving dinner?! Sick.

Last night our ward had Ward Temple Night. It was so nice to be able to go with Cody. Our goal this year is to go to the temple at least once a month. We're on our way!! Two months down and only 10 to go! I love being there. It is so nice to be somewhere that you feel so comfortable and safe and happy. My friend, Emily, babysat Chloe, and they had a GREAT time together. I wasn't even worried!!! (Which is a huge thing for me...I worry about Chloe pretty much ANY time I'm not with her.) I was so lucky at the temple because it was Shannon's last day working there. She used to be my Relief Society President when we lived in our old apartment, and I was her visiting teacher for over a year. I LOVED going to see her, and she actually used to live in Mattoon for awhile and knows some of my other friends from back home! AND she was one of my leaders when I went to girls camp!! Hahaha we didn't realize that for a long time...But when we got the pictures out, it proved it! Anyway. It was her last night to work there because her husband got a new calling, and I was able to spend some time with her there. It was such a special experience for me! *PS We didn't take that picture- I found it on google images. **PSS I WILL be back to talk about Chloe's blessing and put pics up of that! I PROMISE!

Yeah - as Matt would say Thanksgiving dinner is boring enough but to puree it all as one bland smorgasbord? Gross!
You're so sweet to say those things. I sure do miss having you come faithfully to visit me - especially now that I haven't been visited since we moved! It was so fun to see you in the temple last night!

I completely agree with the entire pureed dinner thing. It seems like something you would feed a dog...one complete meal packed into bite size pieces! :) Your baby is SO cute. I wish I knew that girl!
