Huge Announcement

No, I'm not pregnant. That would be awful.

I've decided to give up Grey's.

I know it's not that big of a deal, but I am truthfully crying while I write this.

In an effort to better invite the Spirit into our home, I decided to give it up. I thought to myself, "Self, Christ wouldn't come over for a Grey's Anatomy party...So His spirit probably wouldn't, either."

I decided out of all the shows I like to watch (Grey's, The Office, American Idol...) it's the most crude and vulgar. Uh, such sad words.

And while Christ probably wouldn't come over to have any party that involved TV watching, I decided I can't just shut it out all together..That's a little unreasonable. So my goal is Grey's.

And even though I'm not going to watch it....If you watch it you can tell me what happens. Just don't tell me about the yuckyness.

yeah i've been totally disappointed with the recent seasons. it's gone down hill for shizzle. like throwing all sorts of nasty not good crap in there. so if it helps all stop watching, what i catch of it, on Thursdays too. ;)

Yeah! Stacey- that's awesome! Okay, so I quit my addiction with Grey's about 2 months ago and I can bear full testimony that it has greatly enhanced my life! I quit for the same reason. Although by the time I stopped watching I was pretty angry with the show. I thought, "If we have to explore the 'cheating on my significant other is actually okay' storyline one more time, I might throw up." So I said good riddance. And I have not looked back. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to walk away. (Now when I see previews I just shake my head and wonder how I ever wasted so much time with that show...) SO proud of you!

Good for you Susie! I am so proud of you! It seems that when a show has something good going for it - they have to start adding the nastiness and vulgarness to keep their viewers! Good job on letting it go! Watch BYUtv! I love it! It will invite the spirit into your home and you will learn so much from it! It seriously is wonderful!

Good job! I'm so proud of you. I'll look at my tv habits too and reevaluate. You're so awesome!
Love you!!! I can't wait to read the blog about how the Spirit is blessing you even more because of your sacrifice! I'm sure Heavenly Father is so proud of you!!!

Dang. Now I'll feel guilty if I watch it again! You are one strong chica to give up a favorite like that! But you're totally right, every time I watch it now I'm like, "Okay that's so disgusting." I've been really disappointed in it lately.
