Date Night and Photo Shoot

This past Saturday Cody and I had a BLAST together. He spent the morning and part of the afternoon doing homework and then let me and two other girls interview him for our psychology class. It was really fun! I thought so at least...I don't think he really wanted to do it..But he was a good sport! Afterwards I decided that we need to have a date night every week. We're always together on Saturdays but we never have called it "Date Night" or said we're going on a date...So I said we need to start calling it date night and take turns planning it. I said I would plan for that night and we had our first offical date night! It was so fun. I decided to break out our Starving Student card and go get all the free stuff! We got free cookie dough from Papa Murphy's, free cake from Gandolfo's, free chocolate from...some chocolate place, and free custard from a custard place! It was awesome! We could've gotten free lemonade, soda, and a lot of free fries, but by the end of that we were pretty stuffed. Then we decided to go see Iron Man at the cheap theater. (Yeah for cheap date nights!) Oh my gosh, it's so good! We loved it. I thought in the beginning it was taking kinda awhile to get to the point of the movie, but we both really enjoyed it. It was so funny because everytime there were war scenes or people shooting guns (which was a LOT at the beginning) the baby would kick like CRAZY. She didn't mind the loud music at all, but she wouldn't stop moving during the guns. I think it scared her! Either that or she just loves guns :) Her Papa Springer would be so proud!! :)

After the movie we RAN home and grabbed the camera. We had like 30 minutes of good light left and Cody wanted to take pictures at the temple. We raced up to the temple and I walked around the grounds for awhile while he took pictures. Then he told me to come and model for him. These are a few of the results.

(So this picture looks really freaky...I decided to practice for America's Next Top Model and I was working my Fierce-Tyra-Bank's-Eyes. I think I could win with that look :) )

And then I said...Take funny pictures of me because I'm funny! ...More like super lame, but hey. I'm ok with that.

So pretty! I love the temple!!

Those pictures are awesome, and I love getting all the free stuff. But when we did it we "forgot" our starving student card and just walked in to different places and said, "Um, hey, we thought we remembered you having something on the Starving Student card for free. We know we're supposed to have the card but _____ (insert competitor here) went ahead and gave us a slice of pizza, do you think you could do the same?" Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's lying or cheating or something now that I think about it. Oh well, it was a couple years ago. I'm pretty much over it by now.

Beautiful pictures. The Rexburg Temple turned out really nice. About the natural birth thing. All I did was think about how each contraction was moving the baby down and focused on controlled breathing. To me the biggest help was having Mike there to hold my hand, telling me when each contraction was ending. We didn't take any classes the only thing we did was watch a video (at BYU-Idaho's media lab place) that showed 3 different women give birth. The first one was so in control and made it look so easy (she did it natural). I really wanted to be like. So, I apologize if this wasn't very helpful. But good luck and let me know if I can help with anything else! I've got 2 weeks left and am so ready for this one to come! :)

First, thanks for coming by the other day and the cute little bathrobe, that is one thing she doesn't have yet... well now she does! it's adorable! I would've offered to hold her, but I figured everyone would, and that would've been a lot of hand washing and holding... but, if you'd like to come back any time, you're more than welcome to!

And... your photo shoot looks good. I'm glad to see Cody is loving his new camera!
