Last September I had a faaaabulous baby shower, thrown for me by my sisters-in-law, April and Katie, and my sister, Amy. It was so fun and everything was wonderful. Before I had that shower, I had 3 other showers that were also super fabulous and wonderful. After those showers I was sure to send out thank-you cards if not right away, pretty soon after. Within a few weeks.
I'm a big Thank-You note person. I think anything anyone does for you that is thoughtful or kind deserves a thank you.
With this baby shower, however, I didn't send any. This is what makes me the worst person ever. Like equal with Ossama bin Laden. Ok, maybe not that horrible...But by the time all the baby showers were over, I was seriously preparing for a baby and then she came and then I had something new that took up all my time and the thank-you's got pushed to the back burner.
Anyway. It's been 6+ months since then and I still think about this all the time. Do you think it's too late for me to send the thank-you's? Do you think I should send them with an apology for taking so long? I really think about this every couple days. And I have thank-you cards. I just feel super lame sending them now since it's taken so long. But I think I'd feel ever more super lame if I never sent them at all.
If you're reading this, and you came to the baby shower or participated in throwing it, I promise I am grateful and so thankful for everything you did and still do for me. (This doesn't count as your thank-you card...I'm just saying) I'm also really, really sorry I haven't sent you one yet.
So let me know what you think. Either way, I end up looking lame...But what about the apology in the card? Is that ultra lame??
Oh goodness.

Bows, Bows, and more Bows
I've been trying to become more crafty lately, so whenever our ward has bow making enrichments, I'm so there! Here are some of the ones I've made so far...
These were my first ones I made. The brown with pink polka dots was my very first...I actually just realized I didn't make the white one-But I have made one just like it. So just pretend.
This is my favorite so far. I'm a sucker for polka dots.
I just learned how to do bugs! This was my butterfly. I wasn't too sure if I loved the antennas, so I left them off one of my other bugs (look below) and it looks pretty lame without, I think.
This is supposed to be a caterpillar...I don't know how I feel about it.
My little ladybug! This can also be a bee if you do yellow and black instead of red.
These were actually all made by my friend, Jen. She gave them to me at my baby shower. So cute, eh? I just wanted a pic of them because they're adorable- and I know how to make all of those, now, too! Woohoo!
I"m so excited because I'm also figuring out how to make crocheted headbands, regular headbands, and lots more bows! Love it!

Scaredy-Cat
Cody and I watch a lot of cop shows. Cops, Most Daring, etc. I remember watching them with my dad a lot growing up, and I've just always liked seeing the police get the bad guys and taking them away.
Lately, however, they started to scare me. A lot.
Ok, not all the time...But ever since I had Chloe and there will be something about some guy on trial for killing a little kid, it totally freaks me out.
So last night, after watching some one of these shows, I was pretty scared. Cody was already in our room (I thought), leaving me to turn off the tv and the light. I turned the tv off (because there was a really scary commercial on that was scaring me even more) but left the light on because I didn't want to be by myself in the dark. Seriously, when did I become such a wuss?
I was walking to our room, getting ready for Cody to make fun of me for being scared of the dark, when I passed the bathroom and Cody JUMPED out at me and scared me TO DEATH. I immediately screamed, covered my face, and started BAWLING. I've never been so scared I've started crying, let alone bawling for at least 5 minutes. He felt so, so bad and kept hugging me and saying, I'm sorry! I'm sorry!
After my 5-minute bawling spree the only thing I could say was, "That was a scary one..."
I think I might cut back on the cop shows.

Chloe's Blessing Day
*Warning* This is really long.
For Valentine's Day (I know, I'm way behind), Cody, Chloe and I went to Utah. Cody's cousin, Karleigh, got married so a lot of his family was in town for that. We unfortunately missed the wedding because we couldn't go down until Friday afternoon and the wedding was Thursday night, but the pictures are absolutely beautiful!
On Saturday, Valentine's Day, we blessed Chloe.
We did it at Cody's grandparent's house in Spanish Fork. It had been snowing all morning so I was a little scared people wouldn't come, but that definitely didn't stop anyone! In honor of Valetine's, Cody's mom and I made cupcakes with vanilla frosting and pink sprinkles, we had pink and red MnM's, pretzel/rolo/pecan things, and my sister, Amy, made chocolates in shapes of XOX's, hearts, roses, and daisies! All in individual bags with a little note I wrote saying-Thanks for sharing my blessing day with me! Happy Valentine's Day! Love, Chloe.
We had a ton of people come- my grandparents, Uncle Mike, Amy, April, Noah and Aidan, Seth, Katie, Alyssa, Doug, Cody's grandparents, his parents, Cory, Uncle Perry, Jared, Emily and Anne, Nick, Jen and Jack, Jessica, Autumn, Brooklyn and Daniel..And who else am I missing? Sorry if I left you out!!!! We were so happy to have so many people come and love Chloe with us!
Cody blessed Chloe with his grandpa, dad, Noah, Seth, and my grandpa, Walt.
It was so awesome! The blessing was amazing and we had been a little worried because Chloe was really, really grumpy earlier. I woke her up from her nap so she would sleep through the blessing...Big mistake.
She was SO upset so we put her back to sleep and I was so scared she'd still be grumpy when we woke her up for the actual thing! Luckily she was a little angel and as soon as it was over, Cody's dad, Dirk, came over to me and told me that she had started moving a little when they were blessing her, so he looked at her and she was just staring up at Cody and smiling. She did that the whole time! She knew he was praying for her and she loved it! What a sweet baby!
Afterwards we all took some pics and ate some food. It was so fun! April got some great pictures of us as a little family outside in the snow, and my grandma made Chloe such a pretty pink blanket. Thank you both, so, so much!!! Thanks to everyone that came and participated. It was great and we really appreciate it!!
Cody and I had decided we weren't going to do anything for Valentine's Day...But it's one of my favorite holidays, so as it was getting closer I was getting sad thinking that nothing fun was going to happen!! I decided to do "14 Days of Valentine's" for Cody..Each night for the first 14 days of Feb. I would write on a heart 1 Thing I Loved About You Today... and list just one thing from that day that I loved (I could've listed a lot more than just one!) and put it under his pillow. The first night he thought it was nice, the second night he was confused to get another heart under his pillow, but by the third night he went looking for it and started saying-My heart fairy came! My heart fairy came! On the 14th day I made a little scavenger hunt all around his grandparents house that his whole family ended up helping out with (They kept trying to distract him so I could hide the clues! He knew I was up to something!) and the last clue was under his pillow with some $2 chocolates from Wal-Mart...They definitely tasted cheap and we ended up throwing them away. For Christmas this past year, my Uncle Mike gave me a gift certificate to See's (YUM) and I was SO excited to use it. I hadn't because of nursing, but by the time Valentine's came around, I wasn't nursing anymore! I told Cody to just use that and get my some chocolates. He did and wrote me a really nice letter and it was fabulous!! One of the best Valentine's ever!!!
Because it was President's Day on Monday, we didn't have any school and decided to stay in Utah an extra night. We stayed with Amy and had so much fun! She made us a yummy dinner on Sunday and then we watched Taken,
a pretty intense movie...I don't think I'll ever travel around Europe without Liam Neeson next to me. On Monday we bummed around for awhile, and then went to Moochie's Meatballs with Amy and her friend. It was awesome! I was SO excited to go there because it was featured on my current favorite show, Diners, Dine-In's, and Dives. (Guy Fieri goes around to different places and just eats the food. I love it) Anyway, he went there! We got a philly cheesesteak and it was soooo good. Oh yum. I want another one right now.
Cody and me at Moochie's. You could smell it as you drove up and were still inside your car. My tummy is rumbling.
Amy and me at Moochies.
Guy and me...Just hanging out. Abooyah.
