Pay It Forward

I have been the lucky winner of not one, but TWO Pay It Forward's...So I'm doing it also! You've probably heard about it already, but...Here are the rules.

The Rules

1. Be one of the first Three (3) bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade or purchased item from me.

2. Winners, you must post this challenge on your blog, meaning that you will Pay It Forward, creating a gift for the first 3 bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your three Friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: It’s the Spirit and the Thought That Counts!

4. When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it!

I AM CHANGING THE RULES! Just a little bit...But I AM changing them. So listen up!

Since I won 2, I have decided to pick 6 winners instead of 3. AND, because some of you don't have blogs, I've decided to just pick 6 people (out of all the commenters) out of a hat instead of doing the first 3 people that comment. So Mom, Alyssa...and I think those are the only people that read this that don't have a blog...You have a chance to win if you want to play! I think this (picking out of a hat instead of the first 3 commenters) is more fair because some people have wonderful self control and don't look at blogs every 20 minutes...Unlike myself. So if one of you checks this only a few times a week..or even less..you still have a chance to win! So go ahead, leave those comments!!

Check back soon-- I'm picking the winners a week from today (Friday, March 6)!!!

New Chloe Stats

Yesterday we went to the Dr. for Chloe's 4 month check-up. When we got there they had us take her outfit off to weigh her and she was SO happy to be naked!! She was squealing and playing and having a blast. The Dr. came in and looked at her and then they came back with her shots. She was still having so much fun and then the nurses gave her 2 shots (at the same time..but still!) and she just looked at them. For at least 5 seconds she didn't make any noise, but just looked at them like, I thought we were all having fun! Why would you do that to me?!?! It was so sad. Then she started SCREAMING and crying and it was awful. This time I was stronger and I watched it and stood by her so I could be there to comfort her when they were done and I didn't cry at all! It almost happened..But I held it back.

She now weighs 12 lbs 11 oz (30 %) and is 24.5 inches (62 %) long. Her head is 15.5 inches (11 %) around. So apparently she's longer than most but lighter and has a little bitty head! But we love her no matter what!

Last night we bought some rice cereal to give her-- she spits up a LOT after eating and the Dr. said this might help. On Monday I told Cody she will be able to start eating food food now, and he got so excited!! He was talking all about all the different foods she can try now and all the funny faces I'm sure she'll be making. He was like-I can feed you with a spoon! I want to feed you with a spoon! It was so cute. He loves his little girl!!!

When we were buying the rice cereal we were looking at all the baby foods-- did you know they have Macaroni and Cheese?!?! And Thanksgiving Dinner?!?!?! Seriously disgusting. I told Cody we're never feeding her that because that's just cruel. Pureed thanksgiving dinner?! Sick.

Last night our ward had Ward Temple Night. It was so nice to be able to go with Cody. Our goal this year is to go to the temple at least once a month. We're on our way!! Two months down and only 10 to go! I love being there. It is so nice to be somewhere that you feel so comfortable and safe and happy. My friend, Emily, babysat Chloe, and they had a GREAT time together. I wasn't even worried!!! (Which is a huge thing for me...I worry about Chloe pretty much ANY time I'm not with her.) I was so lucky at the temple because it was Shannon's last day working there. She used to be my Relief Society President when we lived in our old apartment, and I was her visiting teacher for over a year. I LOVED going to see her, and she actually used to live in Mattoon for awhile and knows some of my other friends from back home! AND she was one of my leaders when I went to girls camp!! Hahaha we didn't realize that for a long time...But when we got the pictures out, it proved it! Anyway. It was her last night to work there because her husband got a new calling, and I was able to spend some time with her there. It was such a special experience for me! *PS We didn't take that picture- I found it on google images. **PSS I WILL be back to talk about Chloe's blessing and put pics up of that! I PROMISE!

Just Some Pics...

I had straightened it by now!

3 Month Baby! (Big Bird is there for a growing reference)

She LOVES to have her hands like this!!

Like Father, like daughter!

I finally got her attention. She didn't want to look away from his game!

Look at those cheeks!

In other news..Chloe has learned how to take out her pacifier and wave it in the air...But she doesn't know how to put it back in. We're working on it. And she loves looking at herself in the mirror! We'll stand infront of it and she just stares at herself and then smiles and smiles.

She laughed last week! She laughed for Cody first (Of course! She does everything for him first...Roll over, smile, now laugh!) and she laughed for me on Saturday! It was the coolest thing EVER! She laughed a little more last night when Cody was playing with her, and I'm trying to get it to come out again! I guess Dad's are just cooler than Mom's. :)

Oh and we have pictures of her in her blessing dress! We tried it on her last night to make sure itfits. It's a little big, but not bad at all! It's so so so pretty and I can't wait to share the pictures, but I'm waiting till after she's blessed! So check in next week!

Remember this post?

Well. I just danced naked in front of my giant bathroom mirror and sang with my iPod as my microphone.

I'm so not old.

Bangs, baby, Bangs!

I just cut my hair and had my stylist take my before and after pics- I always forget to do that the night before!

Don't judge to harshly because I hadn't straightened my hair yet in the before...and my hair was definitely still not straightened in the after.

PS I haven't had bangs since I was probably 8...No, that's a lie. I had them when I was a freshman I think, but they were waaaay too short and I didn't really know what to do with them. So I went for it again and I'm still decided. Again. Please don't be too harsh.

PSS Does it make my face look too round?

Huge Announcement

No, I'm not pregnant. That would be awful.

I've decided to give up Grey's.

I know it's not that big of a deal, but I am truthfully crying while I write this.

In an effort to better invite the Spirit into our home, I decided to give it up. I thought to myself, "Self, Christ wouldn't come over for a Grey's Anatomy party...So His spirit probably wouldn't, either."

I decided out of all the shows I like to watch (Grey's, The Office, American Idol...) it's the most crude and vulgar. Uh, such sad words.

And while Christ probably wouldn't come over to have any party that involved TV watching, I decided I can't just shut it out all together..That's a little unreasonable. So my goal is Grey's.

And even though I'm not going to watch it....If you watch it you can tell me what happens. Just don't tell me about the yuckyness.
