Pictures!

So I know I've been lacking in the blogging area lately. Let me explain why.

Google Reader. I no longer have to look at my blog to check everyone else's (which I do like 3 times a day...at least), except a few that are private and Google Reader can't subscribe to. Because I don't have to look at my blog very often, I kinda forget it exists. Also, with Cody's new camera I didn't know what cords went to it to hook it up to the computer to add pictures, and I hate having posts with no pictures, so I figure I'd just wait until I figured it out.

Well today I've figured it out. So I've decided to just post all the pictures and briefly explain, instead of posting a couple pictures and explaining a lot...Because people love pictures.

I have some pictures of my belly where you can actually SEE my belly...But I've decided to definitely not post those. Besides the fact that it's ginormous and while some people think it's beautiful...most people don't. And I can only imagine the comment my brother, Noah, would leave about it. I'm sure he would completely freak out and be totally disgusted. So be glad you missed out on those. :)

This is our living room. We're moving August 8, and I wanted to take pictures of all the rooms before we pack them up so we can scrapbook them and remember our first home. I haven't packed anything but the living room yet (and some of my closet) so that's why there's only a picture of the living room. (And yes, that's Grey's Anatomy I'm watching.)

Last Saturday Cody was making a bagel for breakfast when half of it fell into the sink, into soapy water. He was very, very sad. He said he wanted a cinnamon roll so I told him I'd get him one! We went to Great Harvest and he got a cinnamon roll as big as his head. After that he was very, very happy.

On Sunday we went for a drive. It was so nice and relaxing and we found some fun farm animals!

Then we crossed the bridge to Kelly Canyon and took pictures of the sunset. We got there at the perfect time. It was so pretty!
My Ginormousness.

Last week I went to a "Cents of Style" party with my friend, Alicia. It's like a Pampered Chef or Tupperware party...Only they sell purses, shoes, belts, headbands, and jewelry. Sooo fun! I bought a super cute purse and these fabulous shoes. The best part is that everything is $15 or less! (The shoes were only $10!!!)
Cody didn't really understand why I would want shoes that "look like banana peels on your feet" but I told him that they are fabulous and I had to have them. He told me they didn't match anything I had, but I explained that they don't have to match...They go. Thank you, What Not To Wear :)

We also had our 7 month appointment today. I was tested for gestational diabetes which was awful.. The drink they made me drink wasn't awful at first...But as I kept drinking it it just got worse and worse. Luckily I didn't throw up or pass out (which I was worried about..I really felt like I was going to pass out the whole time) and I passed! I don't have gestational diabetes which I'm really happy about, but they said my sugars were low-I have to eat every 3 hours- and if I don't start taking my prenatal vitamin more faithfully I could get anemia. So... I passed, but not with flying colors. They also told me that I could have the baby anytime between October 5-26 and they won't stop it! Which is super exciting...But scary at the same time! That's like a whole month of time that I could be getting ready that...I'll just have to be ready instead! Oh well, I can't wait! I'm so excited to meet our little girl!!!

Playing Catch-up

It's been a REALLY long time. A lot has happened since then, but we, of course, didn't take any pictures of it...So I'll just fill you in on the details.

-Cody and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary!! Holy moly, it sounds crazy to say that. It's gone by so, so fast, but at the same time I feel like we've been married forever (in a good way!!)!! It was on Tuesday, July 15, so we didn't do anything..It was actually a really not fun day..We had school and were still stressing about finding an apartment. We went and looked at a house for rent that would've been so awesome to live at...If it was clean, the people currently living there weren't psycho, it didn't smell like urine and the people at Rentmaster who are in charge of selling it had a clue of what they were doing. Then we were supposed to sign a lease for our other apartment/house we were looking at but that lady was also kinda crazy... I think that's a trend for real estate people in Idaho. So anyway, I was upset about that and then Cody had to work and I babysat so we didn't really get to do anything that night. But the Saturday before we went to Applebees for dinner to celebrate. That was fun! I love being married and I love Cody to death! I'm so glad he is my husband!!!

-I feel like I'm getting huge. I'm 26 weeks now and I know I still have quite a ways to go, but I just want the baby to be here already! I think I'm getting those 3rd trimester feelings early and just want to be done and have a baby here to play with and take care of. I played music on my stomach for the first time about a week or so ago. She loved it! It was our wedding cd. The first song was Etta James and she was dancing a little bit..Then the second song was Tim McGraw. I LOVE Tim McGraw and Cody hates anything and everything country. I thought for sure she'd like him... But no. She didn't move ONCE! I was like-BABY! You can't be my baby and not like Tim McGraw! But Cody was so so so excited. I think she'll be a daddy's girl for sure-she's already taking after him. After that song it was a Jimmy Eat World song and she LOVED it. She was going crazy again, and this time she was hitting the headphones so hard you could see them jump. It was pretty awesome!
The past few days she hasn't been moving a ton- on Friday when Cody got home from work (at 11) I was kinda worried because I hadn't felt her move that I could remember since 4:30..But Cody said, "It's ok, I'm home now so she'll start moving." And she totally did! She still moves quite a bit in the mornings and randomly, but she moves a ton whenever Cody's there.

-School's out!!!!!!!!! OH goodness we're so happy. I was taking 14 credits but felt like I had a pretty easy load. Cody on the other hand had a ton of really hard classes and no time to finish any of his homework because of his work schedule. So I'm happier for him that it's over than me. Today is the first weekday since school is over and I came home from work at 12 and have just been lazy all day... I'm going to need to find some new projects. I'm super, super excited about having time to play my guitar again! I can't wait to get good at it!

-Satan has moved home!! We found a place and are moving in a little less than 3 weeks. It's just down the road from our place now and we like it. Cody's cousin Ashley and her cute family used to live there and I think we'll like it. I was kinda worried because we tried to give our apartment only 2 weeks notice, but they said they have to have at least 25 days. So we have to keep paying rent here until August 11. Unfortunately, the new place said we'd have to start paying rent there August 1 if we wanted to be 100% sure to get an apartment there. So we were going to have to pay double for a few weeks. Luckily I called and talked to a different guy and he said they need time to let the people move out and then clean, so he told me to pick a date to move in! I told him August 8 so we'd have time to move our stuff and then clean with everything gone. He said I could put down the deposit and even though they're only supposed to hold it for 2 weeks and then make you start paying, he'd hold it until the 8th with no extra money for rent! Satan totally left and took all his friends with him. Booyah we're so happy! So that saved us like $150ish bucks.

I think those are the major things that have been happening. Hopefully next time we'll have some pictures to go alone with the news!

Apartment Hunting = Hell On Earth

You may think I'm being dramatic...But no. I'm pretty sure Satan has actually moved to Rexburg to make sure that Cody and I never find an apartment and are miserable and homeless the rest of our Rexburgian lives. I've been apartment shopping since the end of May or beginning of June. We've looked at dozens, and I mean DOZENS of places but there's always something wrong and we don't get it. And if we do decide to get one it's already taken. We've had our eye on this complex since June and really want to move there, but there are only like a dozen apartments, no on-site manager, and each building is owned by different people. So there is no way of calling and finding out if anything is ever opening up. It's not too fun. I drive by at least once a week to see if anyone has put up a "For Rent" sign in the window. No one ever does.

We just went and looked at a 2 bedroom plus den "house" this morning. It's more like a trailer, but really pretty nice and the yard is amaaaaaazing. I don't know if I'll ever be able to have a small yard because my parents yard is ginormous and I've always had a lot of open space...and this yard is so nice. It's in our price range, but with the utilities (only gas and electric..they pay for everything else including internet and Dish tv!) on top of it..It's a little too much. We can still afford it, but Cody's planning on quitting his job in January and I'm (hopefully) quitting when the baby is born, so we're trying to save money..Not just get by.

We went and looked at a different place a few weeks ago not far from that house. It's the top apartment of a house and really nice. The living room is really big and reminds me of Catheryn and Steve's old living room. Probably just because of the entertainment center the lady had...But it still reminded me of them. They have a yard too, which is a plus. We've been talking to this lady about signing a lease and I think we might have found a place...but we'll see! Hopefully our next post will say- Hallelujah Satan has moved home!
