Since Stacey is still at the hospital and i came home for a bit to clean up a little and get a few things, i decided i would post a little something to fill some of you in!
First of all some of you were pretty close or right on as far as guessing the time and how big she would be! Good job!
She was born on Friday October 24th at 2:32 PM. She is 6 lbs 10 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long!
Stacey did an AWESOME job i was so proud of her! After about 15 hours of labor she finally decided to go ahead and get an epideral. It helped her soo much and really helped things to move along alot faster! She was moving along kinda slow at first. So finally after about 20 hours of labor Chloe was born.
For everyone that wants pictures...(and don't have cell phones)...
I posted just a few pictures on Photobucket.com. I some other pictures on there so here is how you find Chloe.
Go to Photobucket.com
Log in as: Foxrace8 ( my email address)
Password: guestpass
you'll see some pictures i took but none of Chloe so on the left of the page click on the album that says "Chloe Catheryn"
There you have it! Enjoy!
Stacey will be back to give more details, don't you worry!

Bueller? Bueller?
Who wants to guess when the baby will be born?? Anyone? Anyone?
If you want to be super tricky you could guess height and weight too.
The floating baby says only 6 more days! We'll see who's right!

Goodbye To You...
Friday was my last day at Child and Family Resource. It definitely didn't feel like it. I don't know why but I kept feeling like I'm going right back this morning! I guess it's just because I've been there for so long and I don't really know anything else to do here in Idaho...except go to work! I've been working there since we've been married (2 1/2 years...about) and it's been a really, really good job for me. I'm excited to be done because that means I'm having a baby, but it was definitely bittersweet. I have some really, really great co-workers and I'm really going to miss them! I'm glad that it's so close so I can go back and show them my cute baby and keep in touch with everyone there.
Friday morning when I went in I was having kind of a hard time. Not really because of work but just a lot of other stuff going on. I went in and went to my office and in a few minutes Alicia came and asked if I had gone into the copy room. I hadn't, so I went in and totally started crying. They had brought in treats for me and a big sign and had made a card that everyone signed. It was so, so nice.

When I looked closer I saw that I also had a gift and another little card. Inside the bag were two champaign glasses (for celebrating after the baby is born...Denise was also going to give me Martinellis but ended up giving me some fabulous chocolates instead) and in the card was a gift card to Sage Day Spa for $60!! I was so, so excited! (And Cody said we could spend a little more and get a package at the spa -like a massage and facial and pedicure- instead of just one thing!!! How awesome is he?!)
Thank you to everyone that helped make my last day so awesome!!! It was so much fun and I will miss all of you!
Sarah, Daniela, me and Alicia
Marcy and Me - she's pregnant too!! Due on my birthday- November 23!
Me with Ainsley
Denise. Isn't she fabulous?
Me with Beth
Me and Jeff - I was complaining about how fat my face always looks now in pictures so he told me to do the Blue Steel look from Zoolander...We tried at least :)
And I promise I didn't change like three different times on my last day...We took pictures earlier in the week because I didn't know if I'd really last until Friday. And the one with Daniela was actually on her last day!
I missed taking a picture with Rhet, but when I go back on Halloween I'll get one for sure!
I'll miss you guys!

Baby Update
We had another appointment today and I was really surprised with how fast my doctor wanted to get everything going! She came in and right away asked if I wanted her to strip my membranes. Besides not really knowing what that meant, it also sounds really gross so I asked what she was talking about. She explained it (it's basically detaching the 'sack of waters' away from the uterus so it brings labor on faster.) and I told her I wasn't sure. She said "Well, do you want to have your baby today or tomorrow?" Of course I thought about my last post where I was like-I REALLY want her to come on the 16!!! But when it could REALLY happen...I got really scared and told her I didn't know. I was really thinking about my mom coming up (Not until Nov 1) and I don't really want the baby to already be a few weeks old by then. I want her to be closer to brand new. So, because I took too long to think all this out, she stripped the partially. It didn't feel good.
Final outcome...The baby could come ANYTIME now. I'm dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced. (Apparently last week I was 50% effaced but the dr never told me that...Oh well) We have another appointment next Tuesday where she will fully strip my membranes...Unless, of course, the baby is already here. Which she kinda made me feel like will be the case. We'll see!
Embarrassing story... The dr told us she could feel the baby's head. I got super excited and asked, "Can you feel any hair?!?!" She was like....No....because the baby is in a bag. Then she and Cody (lovingly) laughed at me. A lot. :)
Oh well. I was excited she might have hair!
Now I'm just sitting around (my feet have become super super swollen since like yesterday...don't really know why), eating oreo's and getting ready to be a mom! I got a pedicure yesterday, so I'm all set there! Maybe I'll take a bath. Ahhhh that sounds relaxing. I'm all about this having a baby stuff :)

I have THE BEST husband ever because....
I will tell you!
For the past like 2 months I've wanted a glider sooo so bad. I had one picked out that I wanted to order. It was so pretty and the cheapest one I had found! I had been looking on the bulletin board at byui.edu and craigslist...but they were all ugly! Either that or they were almost just as expensive as the one I wanted. I kept talking to Cody about it and explaining how much I want one and he kept saying we didn't need one.
My reasonings included:
-We already don't have enough seating in our house. Having a glider will be so nice, even just to use when company comes!
-It would just look so good in the baby's room! That little corner just NEEDS a glider.
-Most ottomans for gliders (that I found) are around $150! Our glider AND ottoman would only be $140!!
-How many times do you think I'm going to be nursing a day? AND at night?? I dont' think you'll appreciate me bringing a screaming baby into our room 4 or more times a night, trying to get comfortable on the bed, and waking you up EVERY time just to feed her.
-We have people come stay with us not SUPER often, but often enough. If you don't like the screaming baby waking you up every night, I'll have to take her on the couch. I can't do that if we have company because they'll be sleeping in the living room. Plus, I'd probably wake them up anyway, carrying her from room to room. Plus, if I have to go on the couch, it's leather!!! And COLD! Noooo thank you.
-It'd be so nice and so much more comfortable to just pick her up and sit down right away in my soft, nice glider. Ahhh
Cody's reasonings for not wanting one include:
-It's too expensive
-We probably won't use it anyway
-His friends had one and his wife didn't use it
I know..My reasons are way better.
So FINALLY like last week Cody said he was ok with getting one. I was so happy but for some reason whenever he was here I never thought to order it...And I never thought to ask him if I could really order it before he was gone to work or wherever else. So I never got one. I thought of it yesterday and he said I could order it. I told him I wanted to order it right then, but he said no way cause it was Sunday.
(I'm sure you know where this is going)
Today I came home from work and Cody was on the couch. He said someone had brought something for the baby. I asked what it was and he said he didn't know. I asked who it was from and he said he didn't know but he had put it in the baby's room. I thought maybe one of my friends had dropped off a present or something...But thought it was weird he wouldn't have opened it to see what it was. I went into the baby's room to check it out...And......

Ahhhhh!!! Soooo fabulous! He had even written the nicest note and put it on the chair. So sweet!
I grabbed Winnie out of the crib and sat down to rock my "baby." I was so happy!! Look at how pretty it makes her room be

It looks TINY compared to the crib, but it's not! It fits me perfectly!! I love it!!
Isn't he the BEST?!?!?! Love him!
In other news...
Cody and I have started taking walks to get everything going with having the baby. Last night was our first walk. It was really nice, but we decided to go at like 7 pm when it was already dark and FREEZING cold outside. We spent a while getting ready...
and be the time we were finally ready I was so tired I had to take a break!
Our walk was really nice, though. I have been REALLY sore lately pretty much everywhere and this morning when I got out of bed I didn't hurt at all!! That hasn't happened since before I was pregnant! I was so happy! Maybe exercise really IS good for you! :)

P.S.
I forgot to add that at our Dr's appointment they gave me the results of my Group B Strep Test-Negative!!! I'm so glad I don't have to worry about taking medicine while in labor. I guess I don't really care about the medicine part as much as I just really want my labor to happen spontaneously and not have to plan for it. So I'm glad that that can (hopefully) still happen!

Crib!
I was totally planning to update the blog like 50 times because I felt like there was so much stuff going on lately...But I never did and now I've forgotten all but like 2 things that I wanted to blog about. Cody's mom emailed me a few days ago and said she wanted to see pictures of the crib (she was reminding me because we've had it for like 2 or 3 weeks now) and I'm so glad she did because I totally forgot to put pictures up of it!
I found our crib online and it's so pretty! It's a cherry wood color...I dont' know if it's real cherry wood or not. I think if it was it would've been more expensive. But it matches our changing table that we bought off of the bulletin board at byui.edu perfectly! And it matches the bookshelf we've put in the baby's room, too. I am so glad all the furniture in there can match! I know that's not really a big deal...But it makes me really happy.

Cody and our friend, Jon, put the crib together
Cody told us he didn't want to use the instructions, but decided to just glance at them. There was a picture he had quickly looked at and so he put the crib together like the picture. When he was done he thought it was looking weird, so he decided to actually look at the instructions. Turns out the picture he looked at had a header that said - Do NOT put the crib together like this. It was pretty funny
Finally done!
Cute bedding and our boppy. I looooooove the boppy!
Winnie the Pooh is keeping the crib warm and waiting for a baby to play with!
Yesterday we had our 37 week dr appointment. It was the first appointment that they checked me to see if the baby is ready to come or not...She's not. I'm so sad! I'm only dilated to 1 cm and not effaced at all. She also said the baby feels like she's still a little high. Super lame. Our next appointment is next Thursday, the 16 and I'll be checked again. I was really hoping that she'd be born on the 16th...For some reason I just love that day of any month. I just think it sounds so pretty. And if she was born on Thursday I could watch Grey's Anatomy while I was waiting for her to come out!! (Which I'll be doing anyway...I've packed season 1 in our hospital bag) So everyone pray that next Thursday I'll go in and they'll be like-WOW! You're ready to have this baby now! Cause that'd be so awesome!
