A Tribute

Meet my friend, Jill.

And my friend, Polly.

Last Saturday they came to visit me at Grandpa and Grandma Dobson's house. I was really excited. I decided to play a little trick on them and so we stuff clothes under my sweatshirt to make myself look about 7 months pregnant. Brittany and Emily and I figured it all out so if they asked questions we'd be ready. I was 7 months pregant and due January 24, same birthday as my mom. So they came over and when they hugged me hello I stuck my belly out as far as I could so they'd feel it!

Nothing.

So we started talking and Cody hung around for awhile, waiting to see what they were going to say....

Nothing.

Finally after like 10 minutes of talking I stood up and was like-GUYS! Didn't you notice?!?! And I stuck my belly out really far again.

Their reply?

"Whatever! Show us your skin!!!"

Thanks, guys.

HAHA. These guys are my favorite and so awesome so I am making a tribute to them.

Polly and Jill

Polly and I met my senior year of high school. She was in my choir class and she was flirting with all the boys at the beginning of class. I knew I wanted to be friends with all the boys, so I said to myself, "Self, you need to be friends with that girl." She sat infront of me and we started talking and a few days later she asked me to skip school with her! Of course I said yes :) We skipped our choir class and went bowling with a bunch of guys. It was exactly what I wanted! After that we started hanging out more and more. We watched Honey constantly and tried to learn all the dance moves. We had picture taking sessions, cuddling parties and took walks together...hahaha it sounds like we were involved...We weren't. I promise!!!

Jill. I ususally call her Jillian. We met my senior year of high school, also in choir class. I'm pretty sure she sat next to Polly. She turned around and was like-Are you Stacey Springer? I said yes, and she was like-We work together. We both worked at Teddy Bear Builders at the University Mall in Orem. There we got to be close, close friends. Jill and I had a combined birthday party once in the middle of the year, when it wasn't either of our birthdays. I think it counted as a half-way birthday for both of us. It was at Teddy Bear Builders and our friend/boss was in charge of it. It was one of the most fun parties I've ever been to. We all got to make an animal and I made an elephant named Giovanni. Everyone had to make a wish to put inside of their animals, and my wish was that I would never forget the people I had become best friends with, the things we had all done together, and all the memories we created together because it was one of the best years of my life.

Jillian and Polly, you guys are seriously awesome :)

Finally 21 and All That Other Good Stuff...

I stole part of that title from Erin... :)

So my birthday was last Friday, the 23 of November. I turned 21 and had a little birthday party, an exciting game, a big dinner, a gathering of family of family of family and a festival of lights. All in my honor :) Well, most of it at least.
My Little Birthday Party
Was SO fun! That morning Cody's family and I all opened presents. I got sooo much stuff! I think I've always made out pretty well when it comes to birthdays and Christmas, but this year was awesome! This is the list of what I got.
*Money from Grandma and Grandpa Dobson
*Really yummy smelling soap from Bath and Body Works Brittany and Seth
*Snorkling stuff from Cory and Austin for our cruise
*Money from Cody's parents for a temple dress
*A super cute Thanksgiving sign that says "Gobble Till You Wobble" from Cody's parents

Not such a cute picture of me...but a super cute sign

*The super cute hat and gloves from Maurices that were on my list from Cody

That's my super cute hat with me smelling the yummy smelling soap

*My dream coat!!! From my parents. I LOOOOOVE it.

This is how excited I was to finally put my coat on!!!

*2 Michael Buble cds. One from Cody-Call Me Irresponsible, and one from Amy-Michael Buble. I'm listening to Michael Buble right now, his self-titled cd-and it's AMAZING. I'm totally rocking out. I love it.

*High School Musical 2 Soundtrack. I haven't listened to it that much yet cause Cody doesn't like it...But I do!

*Cookies from my friends, Mindy and Christine

*A super cute card from Seth and Katie

*A ton of hygiene stuff from my friend, Daniela...At work we give cards to everyone for their birthday, and one lady in my card wrote- I hope you have a good B.D. But...it looked like she wrote-I hope you have a good B.O. So, everyone was making fun of me and saying I have bad BO. So she gave me a bag full of flossers, toothpaste and a toothbrush, body wash, deoderant, cotton balls and q-tips, etc. It was hilarious. I could not stop laughing!!

*And lastly (I think..If I forgot your present, I'm really sorry! Like I said, I got so much stuff it was hard to keep track!)
MY GUITAR. That's right. Cody, the coolest, most wonderful husband of ALL TIME, bought me an acoustic guitar. This is basically how it went...I was all excited about all my presents when Cody said, "I forgot one of your presents." I wasn't really paying attention, cause i was too excited about everything else. Then he came back and stood behind my chair and said, "Here's another present." I turn around and....

I was SO excited after the initial shock of thinking he was just playing a joke on me and it really belonged to someone else. It was by far my favorite present and I love it and play it ALL the time. Cody just bought me a couple picks today so I can learn how to really strum. I have already learned how to play "A Horse With No Name," and "Leaving on a Jet Plane." I'm trying to learn "Sweet Baby James" but it's SO hard! It's at the end of the book....leaving on a jet plane is like on the 2nd page...So I think I'll just work my way up to sweet baby james.
Yeah for Birthdays!!!

An Exciting Game
Once Shaunda, Amber and Summer made their way to the house we all went to play football at one of the parks in Spanish Fork. One team was me, Cody, Dirk, Cory, and Summer. On the other team was Perry, Grandpa, Austin, Amber, Andy and Drew. Cheering us on was Celeste, her daughter, and Seth. Seth didn't get to play cause he was sick but he flew his helicopter and it was so cool to watch! It could do flips and all kinds of stuff. Austin convinced Drew that it had a mind of it's own and a couple times it got a too close for comfort to Drew and he was scared. It was really cute.
We ended up tying the game and we made an extra friend!

Sick, I know.

A Big Dinner
Thanksgiving dinner was switched from Thursday to Friday, so it landed on my birthday. It was sooo yummy. We don't have any pictures, but there were lots of people and loads of food!

A Gathering of Family of Family of Family
So for my birthday dinner with my family we went to Trio cafe cafe cafe....note the family x3...Clever, I know... :) We didn't take any pictures here either, but Amy, Noah, April, Seth, Katie and Cody and I all went to dinner and it was SOOOOOO good. Cody and I shared a pizza and I ate some of Noah's pasta and all of it tasted amazing. Oh I want to go back! Then we ate my yummy birthday cake that Cody made for me. We didn't even get a picture of that! Oh frustrating. It was also soooo good.

Festival of Lights
After dinner, Amy, Seth, Katie, Cody and I went to Temple Square to see the newly lit Christmas Lights everywhere. It was SO beautiful! It was the first time Cody and I had been there to see them-I went once before when they were on but not to look at them and I wasn't really paying attention...-

The last 2 are of this guy that came in the Joseph Smith Building. He was on HUGE stilts and looked homeless and had a huge purple blanket wrapped around him...the 2nd picture is of one of the security guys telling him to leave. I don't think they let him stay in there for even 2 minutes. When he left he had to go through the revolving doors and he completely folded over! His back was on the very top of the doors. It was insane.
So that was my birthday! How exciting!!! It was a really good day.

Here are some really cute pics of Madi, Brittany and Seth's baby. She is soooo cute and so fun to play with! I'm sad we didn't get any pictures with Aidan during the BYU-Utah game, but we're coming down again this weekend so I'm sure we'll be able to then since it'll be his birthday next Monday!

That was a teddy bear Cody and I gave Madi for Christmas. She got to open it early though so we could be there for it.

And i know this post is way longer than any I've ever done...But I had to say we saw Enchanted on Saturday with Wesley and Emily and Seth and Katie and Amy and it's SO good! I LOVE that movie!
Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy is in it, and anyone from that show in anything I'm pretty sure I"d like...AND when I was googling pictures for this movie to put on here...I found out...They have a Patrick Dempsey Enchanted DOLL. HAHAHAHAHA oh my gosh that cracks me up.

I promise I won't post another post this long for a long time!!!

Over the river and through the woods....

We're at Grandma's house! We got here last night about 11:30ish. And since their house is way up in the canyon we don't get cell phone service up here. Hopefully none of you have been trying to call me! I'm not sure what the plans are for today-if we'll be going into town at all since tomorrow is going to be our Thanksgiving and not today. If we do go anywhere where I can get service I'll call Amy and give her the number up here. Then if anyone has any ?'s about tomorrow you can just call her and she can call me up here if we need to all figure it out. Anyway. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and a happy Thanksgiving!! Be grateful for all the yummy food!! :)

On Our Way

We're coming to Utah!!! Yeah!!!!!

Saturday, November 17, 2007

P.S.

And when I said Cody wants zip-up hoodies...these are not what I mean.

(That was probably the funniest, but ugliest, hoodie I've EVER seen. The jacket part zipped up...and the face part, and you can see through the mesh eyeholes. Maybe good to have in Rexburg to fight the wind...but not if you want to have any friends!)

Christmas is a'coming!

So today we all got an email that said we're doing a Christmas exchange and we were all given names of the siblings. I have Seth, Cody has Amy, Noah has me, and April has Cody. So. Seth and Amy. You should email me or comment some ideas of things you'd like. For example. Cody really wants a track jacket or zip-up hoodie. Also good, Transformers...and that's all I know right now because we aren't getting each other Christmas presents and his birthday isn't until January. I have a whole long list because my birthday is coming up. Noah, here it is.
-Top Gun
-iPod Nano
-A Puppy
-A watch (this one could be dangerous...I'd make sure to take April with you if you went with that idea)
-A new car
-Any Michael Buble cd's
-An acoustic guitar
-Grey's Anatomy seasons 2-3
-Friends seasons 3-10
-Harry Potter 2 and 3
-Temple dress/temple clothes
-High School Musical 2
-Soundtrack to High School Musical 2
-Scrapbooking stuff
-Laguna Bootcut jeans from PacSun size 5
-Really cute beany and gloves (matching, brown) from Maurices.

The End. That is my birthday/Christmas list. Not as long as former years...but well thought out and planned since July, although added to.

Oh, April. I almost forgot-I just checked out that girls blog and she looks so good! I would love to go to her but it doesn't ever say where she works. I'll have to email her and check it out cause I think I'd let her do anything to my hair!

Here are a few more pics from the "Happy Birthday Stacey and Meredith!!!" Celebration.

Alyssa during the fashion show...We call this...Derelik!

The Famous Chocolate Lemonade!!!

So...this is not the hat I want for my Birthday from Maurices....This is an ugly one from American Eagle

SOOOO excited to get to spend my whole day with my favorite people...Cody, Alyssa, and the staff of Seattle Grace Hospital. Happy Birthday, Stacey and Meredith

The '''s are back!!!

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that I figured out what was wrong with our computer. Besides the apostrophes the question marks weren't working and a bunch of other keys. So after almost 3 hours of being so upset, calling Noah and trying to figure out with him how to fix it, spending 30 minutes on the Apple website trying to find the FAQ's, (I never ended up finding them) calling Apple and almost screaming at the recording because they close at 6 and it was 8:30 (I mean can't they stay open 24/7 for really frustrated people with a problem??) and finally, forgoing the hot chocolate I wanted and leaving 20 minutes before Cody's break so I could just sit in the cold in the parking lot waiting for him to come see me JUST so I could get out of the house and not have to look at this dang computer.....I told Cody what happened, and he said he had switched the little American flag at the top of the computer to a Swedish flag....So that's why it was doing that. And if I changed it back to the American flag, it'd be fixed.

So now, I'm sitting here, blogging with apostrophes and question marks and everything...with my hot chocolate in hand.

Chocolate Cinnamon...Yum.

Guess what...DUSTIN'S HOME!!!!!

That's right. Dustin's home and back with Jenna and Zoey and we're all so exicted. I wish I had a picture of their cute family to put on here, but the only thing I could find is a picture of Ryan and Alyssa! And since Ryan and Dustin are twins...you can imagine. We'll have to take some when we go see them for Thanksgiving and put them on here. Anyway, Dustin we love you and we're so so so happy you're finally home!!!

This past weekend Alyssa came up and stayed with us for FOUR WHOLE DAYS!!! Well, I guess just 3 since she left Sunday morning, but it was longer than normal and it was SO much fun. She came up Thursday morning and we pretty much just hung out Thursday and Friday. Thursday night we babysat for a couple in my ward, the Marshalls. They have the CUTEST little daughter, Belle. We played with her and, of course, watched Grey's Anatomy. That is our favorite show, and it's SO amazing. It is basically all about sex, drama, and life affairs, as Erin once told me...but I love it and watch it religiously. Since Alyssa will be going home for Thanksgiving, and my birthday is the day after Thanksgiving, we decided that Saturday would be Alyssa's "Stacey's Birthday." I was SO excited. Saturday morning I woke up totally expecting to get loads of phone calls from people wishing me a happy birthday. I had to remind myself a few times that it wasn't my ACTUAL birthday. We started out the day with shopping here in Rexburg at a couple fun stores, Connexions 23 and Agenda Clothing. Agenda Clothing is my new favorite store. We had so much fun there! We had a fashion show and I found my dream coat! For some reason we didn't get a picture of that.

SO FUN! Alyssa bought the cute jacket and I think the sweater. I got a pair of jeans and asked for the super cute coat for my birthday from my parents!

Afterwards we went to the Pita Pit and then to the mall to shop. While we were there we went to Barnes and Noble and Alyssa and I went to Starbucks to read People magazine and drink her yummy vanilla raspberry steamer. While we were reading I found a picture of Ellen Pompeo and a little message underneath...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

She plays Meredith in Grey's Anatomy and is the star of the show, and when we found out that her real birthday was the same day as my fake birthday, we both started crying!!! We were so excited. Cody was a little embarrassed...so he went to look at some other magazines :) After the mall we went to see Stardust, which is SUCH a great movie. We absolutely loved it, and then we went to Chili's for my fake-birthday dinner! It was awesome, and Alyssa has those pictures so I'll put them up later. But I did have chocolate lemonade and it sounds so disgusting, but it was actually really good!!!

So now that I've become the longest blogger of all time, I'm gonna go work out. Taebo, here I come!

Finally Returned

WOW its been a long time...I want to blog a lot right now but I am really upset because I feel like my computer is falling apart! Whenever I try to put in an apostrophe it does ä instead! So I canät say Iäm or canät or...Anything! Itäs making me really sad. UGH this is me frustrated. If anyone knows how to fix it...please let me know!!

Halloween Adventures

So I know Halloween was yesterday, but I didn't want to post anything then because I feel like there's some kind of blogging rule that says you can't post too much in one post, or too often. So...if anyone knows the blogging police, don't report me, because I get really excited to put stuff on here! And that kinda makes me a dork. Oh well. I know that when my family and friends post a lot on their blogs I get really, really excited, so hopefully someday when our blog is as cool as theirs people will get excited for it :)

S0 yeah! Halloween!!!

At my work all the teachers and staff get to dress up and everyone gets really, really excited for Halloween. We have a costume contest (that I totally won last year with my ballerina costume) and this year everyone went ALL out! All the kids get to dress up, too, and all the different classes have parties.

I can't post any pictures of kids unless they have a mask on (because of confidentiality) but I took pictures with some of the employee's kids and they don't have to be confidential! Hooray!

I was a scary lion, but no one else thought that! When I went to see the kids they said, "Kitty! Kitty!!" One little girl and one of the teachers thought I was a mouse...but I know that I (kinda) looked like a scary lion.

Me and Darth Vader

This is Adrienne, she's the cutest little chicken ever!!!

Kyle was a mummy

Tailani was a pirate-actually her whole family was! I have a picture of her mom in her super cute pirate costume, but it's with a bunch of kids..

Alicia and me!! She got to be my favorite candy, MNM's!!

Ok..so I asked this kid what he was for Halloween...and his exact words were "The Gatekeeper of Hell"

I hope everyone had an amazing Halloween and had more trick'r'treaters than we did-Not ONE person came! Now I'm off to watch Grey's Anatomy! Oh, I love that show
